They don't shape how I feel but can shape how villains play and feel when I'm in a hand and my overall table image. Which means you have to or should adjust how you play a bit. For example if the first orbit or 2(I play full-ring). If I get a lot of playable hands so end up in a lot of hands and seeing a lot of flops going forward I really tight up my range/choose my spots my carefully when playing outta position so I play less hands going forward. Need to get that VPIP down to 20% or under where if you get a lot of playable hands early it's likely 50-60%. Which usually leads to getting a lot more callers, less table respect, and way less chance any bluffs you try running get past.
I don't think one should treat every hand independently because villains aren't treating every hand you play independently of each other. If you have a high VPIP you're going to get a lot of callers and NEVER be able to
bluff. If have a lower VPIP you can take more chances, play a bit wider and run a few more bluffs in the right spots.
I play well within my ability to afford my stakes so I NEVER worry about losing early pots....hell if I'm honest most sessions start with losing 1-2 buy-ins. On the bright side I have a 70%+ session overall win rate. I also tend to play longish sessions. I short session for me would be 2-4 hours. I'd consider longer session 8-12+ hours.
Cheers!!!
