could you see this working?

live tourney, big hand vs someone you know as a somewhat tight-weak player. the pot has bloated quite a bit and you are 100% sure of their hand and cannot beat it. would it be worthwhile to call their hand out and then shove all in to try to take it down?

Sounds like it might be worth a pop. Logically, the other player would have to assume that, since you have correctly read his hand and are pushing, you must have him beat.

Having said that, much would depend on the previous betting in the hand and, maybe even more importantly, on your own table image. Have you been caught in a bluff (or shown one) any time recently ? If so, the other guy might put that together with this unusually dramatic move and smell a rat.

If you had a guy on a hand you could beat, would you ever call out their hand and then shove? It's scary at face value, but if your opponent puts enough thought into it, it doesn't really make sense. You call out their hand. Then you shove. What you're obviously trying to communicate to them is "I can beat this hand". His thought process: If he can beat it, why would he want to communicate this to me and quite obviously attempt to encourage me to fold? I just think if they were smart enough they might figure this out.

then why not call out their hand and shove when you can beat it?
