If in doubt go for mini raise.
If speculative players are in hand, go for 2.5-3
If early position bet bigger.
Don't enter a hand without raising.
If there are limpers before you, add 1 BB for each in your bet.

The game of poker is governed by its own internal rules. The key is to understand the differences and know when and which option will increase your chances of winning even in a tournament setting. It is important to remember that if your opponent folds his hand to your bet, then you have chosen the wrong approach to determining its size. If we have immediately collected a combination with a high probability of winning, then we cannot allow the opponent to fold cards worse than those we have in our hands. Making a big bet also makes no sense. We will be under-compensating too often. As in any business, it is important to adhere to the so-called golden mean.

figure out what you are trying to present to table based on how the table and players play....Its a thinking game is not one way to always win....Being adaptive is most important for my game and that is based on history and/or how I see those at a table if new people or old friends....I am doing things to make them think be on defensive always
