The 2026 World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock\u00a0Poker Showdown Championship is now in the books, and congrats goes to Ian Cohen who binked his biggest career cash by taking it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cohen won $656,200 of the of the $4.5 million generated by 1,417 players who put up $3,500 for a shot at the championship. Cohen’s biggest cash before this was for $193,100 when he won his only World Series of Poker Circuit ring in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m so grateful. It’s been an amazing ride,\u201d said Cohen after his win. \u201cI\u2019m sure it will settle in a few days. It hasn\u2019t yet, but it\u2019s been quite an unreal experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His WPT title will not only be memorable because of the massive amount of money, but who he had to beat heads-up for the title: 2022 NFL Hall of Fame member Richard Seymour, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seymour, who is coming off his largest cash of $106,577 he won by winning his first WSOP Circuit ring in the $2,200 event in North Carolina in February, scored his biggest cash by finishing second for $430,000. The heads-up match lasted more than two hours, and ended after Cohen hit a set with pocket sevens against Seymour’s pocket tens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top 170 players were paid and included WPT Champion Dylan Smith (10th place), WPT Champion Alexander Farahi (19th place), WPT Champion Frederic Normand (31st place), WPT Champion Orson Young (39th place), WPT Champion Vitalijs Zavorotnijs (42nd place), WPT Champion Mike Vela (44th place), Season 11 WPT Player of the Year Matt Salsberg (64th place).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
