i checked because a) if he had a draw he was betting it anyway & i can control the pot at least a little bit b) to get him to bet JJ/TT/99 (and some others) on top of a Q or K c) the off chance he limp/called QK, i dont lose that much.
This is pretty bad. You should almost always be betting this flop. I don't think you played the hand in a +EV way.

i think i would have come back over the top of him on the flop here. that would have given you anice indicator of where you stood. you probably would not have put more money into the pot this way either without having a clue to what he has.

Hmm, I'm guessing that means that in your opinion he would have made more by betting the flop. I disagree.

I think he wouldn't have had such a tough decision on the river, but I find it hard to believe that betting this flop is more +EV than how he played it.

Explain why, as played, its not +EV. He took from villain $104 from flop to river. I find it hard to believe that if he bets out every street he'll make more than that, unless you somehow convince me otherwise.
