I retired  . I own a few properties that i rent out now. Much less of a grind

The only way to truly win at poker is to earn enough money and assets so that you never have to play again.

So I'm ready to start grinding again, I intend to put in a decent amount of volume again and I'm rolled for 25nl.
Before I start playing 25nl on stars though I was wondering if it is worth doing some bonus whoring. I can't get first deposit bonus's on Stars, Full tilt or 888 but any other site should be fair game.

My question is weather It is worth doing a deposit on say party/titan or whatever, or I should just concentrate on 25nl and moving up.

If you're playing 25nl I don't really see a reason to play Stars at all. Reg/fish ratio just super awful aren't the euro sites way better? From what I understand the only appeal of Stars is getting volume and I'm assuming 25nl doesn't have that problem.

Never really gave any Euro sites a chance, I just hated their software, games etc

oh yeah better software too. But from what I understand 25nl on Stars is absurdly tough (compared to Euro sites) and close to unbeatable due to the massive rake and ton of grinders.

I wouldn't say its close to unbeatable. I haven't played there much but from what I have played (maybe 5-10K sample overall) it isn't much tougher than 10NL. Reckon if you drop tables to less than the usual and use the easyseat feature to bumhunt a bit you'll have a good winrate.

Yeah other people would know better than me but I know I played some 50nl zoom and there were just like never any fish there and the rake was like 10bb/100 or so? I know zoom is usually more of a regfest than nonzoom and obviously table selection would help too.

This already makes it seem like 25nl is too reg heavy lol. Having to script to bumhunt makes fish seem scarce.

Seems like soft euro sites are the way to go from everything I've heard. + you can get RB :)

na, easy seat is a stars App, just an easy way of auto waiting listing and sitting a bunch of tables.

Decided to make an account on Titan. So far the traffic is pretty crap and software is seriously shit, maybe tilting even. On the other hand It seems reasonably soft and I'm gettting alot more rakeback than stars, higher rake to begin with though.

I've deposited $500 and will play till I clear it, assuming I can. 200% deposit bonus is nice. as far as rakeback goes I get 50% from titan plus an extra 33% while I clear the bonus there is also a weekly cash promotion I've opted in to and they do a rake race. It's not a factor this run but maybe the next week I'll be playing enough volume for that to contibute as well. So I should be getting atleast 85% rakeback if my math is correct.

Only played about 500 hands so far to test the waters. I've been playing some 10GBP hu tables. I know the general consenus is that microstakes hu tables are unbeatable because of ludicrous rake. But I figure given I think I have a massive edge and getting over 80% rakeback, there should be atleast some profit in it. At the very least its a quick way to churn out some rake to get me to a higher VIP level. Plus it turns out hu cash is alot of fun.

Here's a fun hand. Have you ever had one of those hands where you misclick for half the hand and it ends up netting you a full stack?

iPoker - £0.10 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 105.3 BB (VPIP: 66.13, PFR: 46.77, 3Bet Preflop: 33.33, Hands: 64)
Hero (BB): 318.3 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 3:diamond: A:diamond:

SB raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 9 BB, SB calls 6 BB

Flop: (18 BB, 2 players) 7:diamond: T:diamond: 5:spade:
Hero bets 12.6 BB, SB calls 12.6 BB

Turn: (43.2 BB, 2 players) Q:club:
Hero checks, SB bets 30.2 BB, Hero calls 30.2 BB

River: (103.6 BB, 2 players) 4:heart:
Hero checks, SB bets 53.5 BB, Hero calls 53.5 BB

SB shows 9:club: K:spade: (High Card, King)
(Pre 39%, Flop 15%, Turn 16%)
Hero shows 3:diamond: A:diamond: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 61%, Flop 85%, Turn 84%)
Hero wins 200.6 BB

The turn was a misclick, I meant to check jam instead of check call and river I obviously meant to snap fold, but instead misclick snap called.

Probably going to make a new thread to keep track of my progress and a place I can dump these sort of TL;DR posts so I don't clutter up other threads.

I've been on the losing end of a couple of these. Just wondering if it's a standard stackoff with nut overpair+NFD?

Probs a fold tbh. He has an 8 every time, so were looking at like 35% equity at best, but he can have 89/99/8A severely limiting our outs too.

disclaimer: I haven't been fresh playing PLO in awhile though.

Yeah I've been thinking it's probably bad to stack off on paired boards because a couple of our flush outs will be dirty all the time. If it's something like Js6s3x and he most likely has top set then do we have to stack off?

Just seems like one of the nut low boards for you against his range where most people are gonna put you on AAxx.

I keep getting this problem while logging onto Stars. Soon as I open up the lobby and start putting in my pass it stops responding. Anyone else having similar issues?

7 seems to use more than 6 did, not sure how much but in perspective i used to grind an entire month pretty much 4-5 hours every day without worrying about busting a 15gb cap on my internet........so would figure a few days (not sure how long your talking) of grinding should be fine on a 4gb cap.

Maybe set your settings to give you a notification once its nearing your data cap for an extra precaution would be my thought.
