12/9 is not nitty at 6max is absurdly, mind bogglingly nitty!

Painful, is the constant coolers and hands I can just never get away from. Oh and losing on a constant basis.

The 12/9 is 6max???

That's super nitty, must be like 8/6 for FR.

I sometimes play that tight. Lately I've been running 9/8.

Lol it is the greatest line ever isnt it.

It always makes me think of "Call AK AI pre??" threads, guaranteed that at least one tourny player in each of those threads uses it at least once,

E.g. "I'm not risking my tourny life with a drawing hand"

Lolz

Hey man, from what I have read starting at your Nova thread you have been having a real crap time at the tables, just wondering have you tried getting some HHs looked at or coaching etc?

Yeah, Ive had BW and Chuck look at some, plus Ive had a little coaching from chuck. Basically though I spew like a spew monkey post flop.

The 12/9 is 6max???

Sorry my bad, just assumed it was.

No need to apologize, I always assume everyone is talking FR! :)

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

FX played a few hands of 6max. Famous for his Nitty Play he didn't stay long.

(Rochester, NY) Feeling tired of getting pestered to try 6max and finding that once again the 5nl full ring tables on pokerstars were anemic with smallish pots and long waits, fx20736 ventured forth into the completely strange world of 6max.
Immediately he was struck by the fact that the seats were aligned in a way that he could not be in the center of the screen. Try as he did he could not get comfortable with this.
When asked, fx retorted "I couldn't get any equilibrium with my seat either on the left or right side of the screen". He added; "I 3bet with QQ and got called. Villain flatted, flop comes down Kxx, he checks, I check behind. Turn was a blank. He checks, I make a 1/3 pot bet and villain immediately check raises forcing me to fold."
Next hand, different table lost JJ to Q6 who flopped top pair crap kicker and wouldn't budge."
After that fx said, no thanks, I need my seat to be centered at the bottom of the table. "My eyes aren't so good and I have ambulaeopia so I'll stick to Full Ring".
At last report fx is killing time on Cc while waiting for more full ring players to show up.

You know, I just love British English. Fancy is more compact than saying "if you'd like". Or do you fancy him is way better than do you like him? Well, you probably do like him but do you fancy him?

Shagged is better than tired. Shag is better than f***. Pissed is better than drunk. Go to Hospital > Go to the Hospital. He has flu > He has the flu. Go on Holiday > Go on Vacation. Lorry > Truck. Bugger off> Get lost. Have a go>put me on. Takeaway> Takeout (as in Chinese takeout).

And I don't really think American English has an equivalent for 'bloody' as in:

'you can bloody well take your hands off me wife's knickers you sod'

I have always had this fondness for British English even though I've never been, perhaps extra ironic considering I'm Irish Catholic by heritage and grew up in the Midwestern US which isn't exactly worldly, in fact many of those farmers have a right dim view of you Brits. I think it is largely due to Monty Python's Flying Circus. When I was about 11 it started airing on PBS (think BBC Television) late at nights and my friends and I were all just blown away and I can usually tell if someone is potentially good friend (mate) material if he is an MP fan. Of course all the references to British Politcal figures and FA stuff went right over my head but over time I've come to fill in many of those gaps. Funny thing is, except for Fawlty Towers the only other British Comedies that I ever took a shine to were Yes Minister and even more so, The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin. That one had in me stitches. Benny Hill was too old fashioned and I was too old fashioned for The Young Ones and Ab Fab was too gynocentric for me.

Anyway

Cheerio and all that

In fact Tommy Cooper was so funny he even managed to get people laughing when he died.

He died on stage, people thought it was part of the act.

It was a few minutes before people realised he wasn't kidding.

You know most American Python fans tend to list Lumberjack, Nudge Nudge, Dead Parrot,Philosopher's Song, etc, as their favorite skits. Of the more widely known I do like Cheese Shop, Spam, Spanish Inquisition, Mr Neutron, but I have personal favorites

Here are some of my favorite bits:

There are way too many others to list. I have seen all 45 episodes innumerable times.
