Rakeback grinder

I think I might be a rakeback grinder!

I've been in one seemingly never ending downswing since July, with bad beats like this one:

Getting rivered constantly, running KK into AA (and vice versa with a K high flop). Never ran so bad for so long. I think my game is still reasonable but it can be difficult to tell, most of my hands have been on unibet where HUDs are not allowed but I'm definitely down, and on pokerstars I've managed a whopping 1.1 EV BB/100 since 1 July!

However the good news is I am finally out of my downswing at least from a bankroll perspective, helped by CC freerolls but in particular the rakeback on PS the 200 hand challenge I'd managed a $15 then a $10 chest helping to cover some losses, then finally yesterday I managed to come second on the 10NL leaderboard and won this:




Very pleased, but think I am now officially a rakeback grinder, at least until I start winning again. Oh and definitely sticking with Pokerstars as the rakeback really helps!! Who knows when I get to silver chests, again I may even be offered the 40% cashback (rather than 10% it was previously) now I seem to be a losing player

So who else here is a rakeback grinder!?

That sucks, you have to win the 'proper way'

I don't even want to open them... (yet)

I just play to enough 1 dollar spin and gos every day to get my free one dollar sportsbet so most days its just one. I think over time the odds are in my favor to do this. I have never been delusional enough to think that I could play a spin and go without this kind of carrot attached and have the odds in my favor to make money. In other words I do not think I would have an edge on my opponents large enough to cover the rake.
