Actually, I have a cure for that. It's called ‘bankroll management.’ Maybe I should even patent it and become a millionaire. Because becoming a millionaire through poker takes a long time, it's easier to patent a cure.Shadow6969 said:

I used to be much sicker, but nowadays I can control myself much better because I know it's part of the game.

None of them now. I don't tilt that much anymore, as long as I started managing bankroll better and acknowledging we cannot try to extract much money from premium hands playing against Calling Stations and so on, and most of the times, their dumb actions will overtake my best hands.

I think tilt isn’t a disease; it’s a lack of mental control.
I’d be in the ICU if I kept going on tilt—it’s not bad luck, it’s a sign that I need rest, psychological work, or to move down in stakes.
I’d be discharged if I step away from a session in time, which is a sign of a smart decision, not a weakness.

The symptoms usually show up when I forget about proper bankroll management and basic discipline. As soon as I start ignoring those rules, tilt isn’t far behind.

I probably would have been knocking on the door of the intensive care unit many times. But probably while waiting for door to open I would have already left. Even though I don't take it well, I do recover in seconds. My philosophy is I guess this: It is ok to fall, but I must get back on my feet quickly!

Tilt is a simple lack of emotional control because of improper internal expectations that doesn't allow for the true mathematical aspect of the game. Be the game, except the reality if it's swings.
