Every player has a different trigger: slowrolls, excessive talking, pointless tanking, bad etiquette, or players who think they’re Phil Ivey after winning two hands. I’m curious which situations throw you off the most and how you manage to stay calm when they happen.

Chat emojis annoy me, so I disabled chat and animations at the table. Sometimes slowrolls especially when run is not good. But i am trying to not focus on that things, i try to focus on my the game. One thing helped me, i tell myself that this emotional reaction will ruin my game if i will react so that thought helps.

Those players who, if they have one card, go all in, right?

Its almost 2026, and to watch all the open limping is crazy.

Just yesterday, on the bubble of a mtt, I saw a player try to play hand after hand with a player that was sitting out.

Well said. I also believe emotional reactions can sabotage your game more than any bad beat. Personally, I get annoyed when someone slowrolls on purpose or when the table atmosphere gets too theatrical. But I try to stay focused on decisions and not let those details throw me off. I really like your idea — realizing that the reaction itself can ruin everything. That’s a mental discipline I truly respect.

Losing to clowns who suck out with garbage against my premium hand.
I totally get you — nothing stings more than a suckout from someone playing absolute garbage. But that’s the chaotic side of poker: in the short run the “clowns” win too, but in the long run discipline and good decisions prevail. I try to focus on the process, not the outcome, even if sometimes it makes you want to slam the laptop shut

Yeah, exactly — the type of players who shove all‑in with just one card and hope for a miracle. It throws you off in the moment, but it also reminds you how important discipline is in the long run. I try not to let it get to me — if it hits, it hits, but over time those decisions are simply not profitable.

Yeah, I’ve seen that happen too, and it’s pretty frustrating, especially on the bubble. Some players try to exploit every tiny edge, even going after someone who’s sitting out. I get the logic behind it, but it does take away a bit from the competitive spirit. I just try to stay focused on my own game and not let moments like that throw me off.

When someone talks a lot 😂
Haha, yeah, that can throw me off too when someone talks nonstop. Sometimes it feels more like stand‑up comedy than poker. I still try to stay focused and not let the “show” distract me.

When someone tells you how to play, that has to be the worst. "Oh you should have done this or that." "I can't believe you called with that." Drives me crazy...probably shouldn't say this...I can see some talk coming up in Replay...lol. Depending if its just a one off or if they constantly do it, I usually mute them at the table.

I totally get you — nothing is more annoying than someone telling you how you “should have” played, especially when they say it with that superior tone. At some point it’s not feedback anymore, it’s just ego. I do the same: if it happens once, I ignore it, but if it becomes a pattern, mute and move on. I’d rather save my energy for decisions, not pointless debates.

People who swear easily and call the opponents fish in micro stake games. We are all fish in those limits brothers, just chill and enjoy the game :ROFLMAO:

Bubble calling stations that force you to play higher value hands that don't come, so you die a slow death. Also, good players that outsmart you.

Other players' bad manners used to be a big problem for me. But today I just ignore it, turn off the chat, and move on. Good luck to you all!

I find annoying those players that waste time and time banks before folding when they have a hand that's a clear fold. That usually happens around bubbles, which is very boring for the other players. Everybody's waiting for the bubble to burst to play faster. I find it's around bubbles that we should should start timing the players, otherwise the game becomes unbearably long and boring.

I only pay attention to how my opponent plays their hands; no type of behavior affects me. For me, when I open a table, it's to play poker, not to interact.
