What is the best platform for analyzing pre-flop ranges?
You need to start by being more specific - are you talking about your pre-flop ranges or your opponents pre-flop ranges?
If you're talking about your own, you need to look at your VPIP and see how many
hands you're playing to start, and then see if the types of hands you like to play fall within an acceptable range for that percentage.
Example: If you're a 20% VPIP player but like to play any two face cards, and not small pocket pairs or suited connectors, you may be playing outside of the typical range of a 20% VPIP - this is not necessaily bad but could give you an advantage on certain flops that you hit that your opponent isn't expecting you to hit.
If you're talking about studying opponents ranges, it's good to know what hands are included in 15% VPIP and 20% VPIP but ultimately you need to watch the hands your opponents show and gauge whether they fit into the standard range to see if they are playing conventional or not.
