What questions do you ask yourself during a hand (e.g., what do they think I have)?

1. How likely is this player to fold, call, or raise?
You should have a rough mental model for each opponent.

2. What sizing influences them most?
People respond differently to half-pot, Âľ pot, and over bets.

3. What mistakes does this opponent make?
Calling too much? Folding too much?
Your entire strategy should attack their leaks.

What does my opponent have? What am I representing? What do I want to achieve, and what’s the best way to do it?

There are players at the table who sometimes fold A-10 (and they even show their cards before folding), and then the same player in the next hand or two goes all-in or calls with 8-6. So you just sit there wondering what’s going on in their heads and how they think)))

On some hands, when we faced each other in betting, I asked myself, what will the other player have? to see if I continue betting or retire better.

I always wonder, depending on how the hand was played, what are the chances of that card coming out (it opened strong, what are the chances of it being a 2)?

What does my opponent think I have? Poker is not just a card game, but also about building stories.

Am I making this decision based on reason or emotion? Frustration, fear, or overconfidence can lead to mistakes, so recognizing your own emotions is an essential part of good decision-making.

Is it better to play it safe or take a risk in this hand? A good poker player can recognize when playing it safe is wise and when taking risks will yield a better result in the long run. And it always depends so much on situation what one should do.

What questions do you ask yourself during a hand (e.g., what do they think I have)?
A hell lot of questions are asked when it’s an easy hand to fold or back-off!
The real moment of asking questions consciously to yourself is when you’re deep inside a hand and huge stacks are involved!
That is the moment when most players’ brain freezes and they make emotional decisions!
