For me, the biggest focus lately has been mental game and discipline, even more than pure strategy.
I’ve spent a lot of time looking at why I make bad decisions, not just what the correct play is. Tilt control, stopping sessions on time, and learning to accept variance have been my main challenges. I’ve lost profits sometimes weeks of work because of tilt, so that became a clear signal that this is where I need to improve.
On the technical side, I mostly work on basic cash game fundamentals: preflop ranges, playing fewer
hands but playing them better, and reviewing spots where emotions influenced my decisions.
I’m not perfect yet, but tilt happens less often than before, and that alone already made my game more stable.
