For me, the biggest focus lately has been mental game and discipline, even more than pure strategy.

I’ve spent a lot of time looking at why I make bad decisions, not just what the correct play is. Tilt control, stopping sessions on time, and learning to accept variance have been my main challenges. I’ve lost profits sometimes weeks of work because of tilt, so that became a clear signal that this is where I need to improve.

On the technical side, I mostly work on basic cash game fundamentals: preflop ranges, playing fewer hands but playing them better, and reviewing spots where emotions influenced my decisions.

I’m not perfect yet, but tilt happens less often than before, and that alone already made my game more stable.

Know that when you have one pair and bets are coming in from all sides you are probably behind. Same when a board has 2 matching cards and you don’t and bets come in, likely you are behind.

At the end of the day, I try to review the decisive hands I played during the day and look for possible mistakes.

I studied my own mistakes. I simply analysed every unsuccessful decision and thought about how I could have acted in a given situation. This self-analysis gave me more than dozens of educational videos.

Mostly BB vs BTN at 10, 20, and 30bb, plus a lot of preflop drills to clean up my ranges.
