To win his 4th 50K championship bracelet and taking down the main event, and cashing in every WSOP event he played in was incredible. Im glad they inducted him into the Hall of Fame, well deserved. Congrats to him, wish him further success.

In the $50k Players Championship, it was a great accomplishment... however (lol) if you were to watch the commentary by Blez, you'd see many spots where he said Michael had played a hand poorly. And in the Main Event, I'd suggest the same, 'although' his style of play was great at putting pressure on certain players (even if he did get VERY VERY lucky in the Main Event). Some players who I had the opportunity to listen in on their breakdown of the hands, agreed that Michael's play style was something you'd expect back in 2010.
I don't expect we'll ever see someone repeat what Michael did this year.
Personally I was more impressed with what Shiina Okamoto did by not only winning the WSOP Ladies Championship this year, but to actually have won it last year (and the year prior to have placed 2nd when she was fairly new to poker!).

Or what Jungleman did (Dan Cates). A guy who doesn't even play Tournaments. After placing in 6th in the Players Championship in 2019 he won it back-to-back in 2021 & 2022 (while being 'in character' for the entire thing as the Macho man)

Your right, both of these players are impressive and have made some amazing accomplishments. Hopefully we continue hearing more about them.

Such a persistent and determined player, what he achieved this year is going to be hard to match. These days almost everyone is bluffing and raising with nothing and playing their GTO solvers so it was great to see somebody using old school gutsy poker. Putting it all in when he had the goods and bullying players out of pots using his knowledge of ICM. His critics will be eating humble pie, well done Grinder.
