I do mark my opponents

I used to mark the players that bluffed or called a raise with 62 off
Now I also mark the players that have a good hand and bet accordingly
Even though I know that a player does change their game throughout a tournament

If a player stacked me or slow played me, I mark them RED. It's revenge time for me next time I see them!

Donkey/Fish players get a green mark.

Yellow if they are rude in the chat

Magenta if they are confirmed/identify as female

Orange if they are erratic players

Blue if they consistently win showdowns (not necessarily against me)

Grey if they are fun to play/chat with

No, I don`t mark and consider that fact one of the biggest my mistakes.

I do mark players, I play to my audience so to speak if they are tight I’ll be tighter if loose I will take more risks

I surely do and love to put a bit of fun in it, so here it goes:

BROWN: very important, for players I don't like as it resembles the colour of their style of play. Of course, this is for my personal entertainment.

PINK: 2nd most important, for weak players, or any unmanly attitude. Not in a homophobic way, but for my self-entertainment.

GREEN: also important, for donors and plain stupid play.

RED: for thieves who took my money and who I like to bully big time and get my money back. Also bots, regulars, and unusual winning play.

BLUE: friends, for avoidance purposes, as I don't want to be considered either a ***** or too generous. I'd rather transfer them some then play against them.

VIOLET: for people who have what surely doesn't exist in the online poker world and no one could ever have such a thing, but also known as (in my opinion, unfair) advantage. Such as people who bring benefits to poker platforms like streamers, marketing pros, etc. Like "What a river!" situations for their viewers to get their hopes up and money in. I want to plainly avoid them or play unusual hands, which seems to work in my favour so far (after losing a lot with top hands on that damn river), and also gives them something to "analyse" on their channels. Analyse "that" then!

YELLOW: for doubt as in: haven't figured out how I would like to tackle them yet. So I can keep an open mind.

I think that sums it up. However, I focus more on notes about their play and I do take a lot of notes because I do not use HUDs.

I have a Excel sheet with 5 collums dividing players into bluff/good/bingo/big/insane
it helps when you go further into a tournament, each one means something to me and also helps a lot when i am playing, won a tournament because i got one of those late in the final table as a bluffer i had a mid pair and won the dude with Q high

I try to mark either weak or strong players. I use both colors and text to describe what he did, or just write one word. But sometimes I just can't do anything.

I've been playing a bit more often on pokerstars this year and I'm amazed by how many players I come across that I have notes on from the past. I am talking about 10years+ ago. Oddly enough, many of them are from 2011 (maybe I played a lot then?)

And I'm not just seeing them once a week, I'm talking about every single day! Some seem to play worse than my notes indicate and haven't improved at all, OR they haven't kept up with the evolution of the game. Example: Some notes say +5.6bb/100, 1.2 million hands played (they have PTR stats on them.... that's PokerTableRatings for those who don't recognize PTR). PTR site hasn't been around in many years. (not since 2012 I believe?)

Reg and half reg? That gives you no info on their style or how good they are...
