Some players grind with 6+ tables; others focus on just one.
What’s your ideal setup for playing your best poker?

If you play more tables, your concentration decreases with each one. From the point of view of professional players, there are more chances to earn money without worrying about one failure.

You'll need maximum concentration if it's live poker and the buy-in is significant.

If you're playing online, all you need to do is beat the variance with the right strategy and a high volume of hands. This can only be achieved by playing as many tables as possible.

Couple of 32" 4K monitors, a few weeks of practice, and 12-18 tables = easy!

You fold 70-93% of your hands, so it's rare that you're playing around six hands at a time. usually just 1 or 2. HM or PT collects the data for you. You can easily adjust bet sizes and ranges by sorting the tables on the screen or changing the colors. Keyboard shortcuts are an indispensable feature.

Good Luck!

I like to play 5 tables per session; I concentrate much better at that amount. There are players who play much more, but it's a matter of each individual; there are players who play up to 12 tables per session.

I usually play 2 tables. It keeps me busy enough that I don't get bored.

Your comment is all true, but EASY 18 tables? That's not that easy, even for professionals

Poker seems to be like tighten screws, and that's kinda boring for me. I preffer playing up to 6 tables, but I do like when I play like 4

In DoN Sit & Go games, I mainly play 4 tables simultaneously. In cash games or MTT tournaments, I usually play 1-2 tables simultaneously.

I like to play a maximum of 4 tables. For me, that’s the ideal number to stay focused.

When I play one table it's better because I pay more attention, but I usually play several tables at the same time.

Yes, playing 18 tables is quite difficult for me, while playing 12 is easy... but it's all about practice. About 15 years ago, I couldn't play 4 tables... and today, playing 4 tables is just boring.

A new habit develops after 3-12 weeks of practice.

I agree to what you are saying here as it requires so much focus to just play one table in a tournament especially. Of you just playing multi tables then in my opinion you more or less donk playing.

For cash games I don't play more that 2- max 3 tables at a time. Most of the time max. 2 if I need to reach a number of hands for different promotions ( like the ones they have on GG). I'm just a recreational player, also it's not a source of income. I just play for fun. I find it's easier to concentrate on 1-2 tables, and a higher volume takes away from the fun.

If you play just as a hobby, play one table, and if you play poker for work and want to be profitable, then you have to play several simultaneously to increase profitability. Currently, I'm playing 9 simultaneous tables.

agreed.

Currently I 4-table Z00M cash tables. (sometimes 6 but while playing at lower buyin limits).

For tournaments, I am not used to playing these days but I feel like I'm wasting my time if I play less than 8 at a time.

For me four tables provides enough action and nicely reduces emotional problems (one bad hand does not feel so bad and failures in one table are many times simultaanius to success in other tables) I hear many people are playing six tables, but that does not suit me even I am quite multi-tasking orientated. Quality suffers if I play more than 4.

It depends on you. If you're learning and studying, I wouldn't play more than 2, maybe 3. Playing at one table can be counterproductive, as you might get bored and either get distracted or just play too many hands.2 tables will be exciting enough to keep your attention and also give you the opportunity to watch the tables and think about what actions you want to take.
