Good question. I am a cash game player so downswings are ot too long compared to MTT players. Not sure I could stomach being down for months at a time. My biggest downsizing is since the start of this month, about 6 buy ins ($150 at 25NL, though less in practice thanks to rakeback and freerolls). Mostly run bad but inevitably here are some hands I could have played better. Hoping to get to even by the end of the month.

I completely agree with you, even when I'm in a bad phase, I think that the most difficult paths are the ones that lead to the greatest victories!💪🤜🤛In these moments of bad streak is where we must be most focused and not get dragged down by that bad streak, stay focused on applying our game in the best way, leaving bad feelings aside, my streak right now is that I have been on for more than 1 month without qualifying for a good tournament

Downswings are never fun. I have gone over 40 tournaments twice without a single cash online. I have also been on a run of 11 months losing money each month. Live when I could play a lot more i went over 1/2 a year without cashing over 48 tournaments (small Dailys type).
But hen in a downturn we need to remember the good times when we come out of these bad runs. After my 48 misses in a row, I would finally get a win, a 2nd place and another 1st in the next 3 I played.

once I played for about a month and couldn't raise money at all and it made me very angry because I tried every day and it still worked out so I couldn't win and I just trained even more studying poker and trying to spend more time not playing but studying poker because there were no failures in poker I lost with very strong hands and I just forgot about it and then started winning sometimes you can't influence just forget the game and the cards

Exactly the same. And this was on lower levels against VERY bad opponents. Thought the site was rigged for sure.

Before I used to play longer and during that time I think it wasn't more than 3 days since when this happened I would stop playing for at least a week to clear my mind. It's important to get over losing streaks in poker

My current run bad streak is about 6 months. The streak is mainly being card dead with the occasional bad beat thrown in for fun. Luckily, the couple of months before that the cards ran hot so I am still positive for the year. Playing microstakes during a bad streak is more still fun and cheaper than watching cable TV!

That's what this is all about! We all tend to memorize failures rather than winning hands. We should try to be calm about failures and be happy about victories. Although if you ask me, I can remember, for example, losing 11 times in a row with KK against weaker hands last week. But today I already won with KK, so I'm sure the series of failures is over.

For me it is 3 months. We are programmed by nature to fight for life and territory, so when we start to lose, we are fully mobilized to win back. In addition, losing hurts our pride, diminishes our sense of self-importance, and this is an additional motivation to avoid defeat at all costs.
