Hello to all! Share your experience and emotions when a card from outs comes to you on the river. And how often. It would be interesting to read :)

I don't know what's the percentage but there's only this line everyone say: 'Please, just one time. Give me that river'. Also, I can easily confirm that I get punished on river more times than it ever helps me.

The outs I need on the river come about 20% of the time.

Dude, you must have read my blog on psychic poker. Strictly for fun, unless you're on the wrong end of it!

Try to have them drawing dead on the turn. It makes the river a lot easier to deal with.

Oh ... This is somehow not enough. Is this when playing all-in? Or did you take all the hands in general?

No I have counted my own cards (2) and the cards that are presented on the board until the turn (4). Overall there are 52 cards in the deck. Those 6 cards I know subtracted from the 52 caards that are in the deck makes it 46. Now I asked for onl one specific card making it 1 card out of the 46 cards left in the deck. I hope i did the right maths and could help you. :)

I find it the complete opposite. How often does the other guy hit those outs.

Just yesterday in cc free roll four different times my better hand couldn't get the calling station to fold. I hardly ever wait to river to push. Online this looking for the draw to the river. Or calling with only means of winning is runner runner to finish his 1 card flush. But what can you do. So playing:) think not

If we're playing a stud variation including razz and I can see my outs then pretty often but not so much with holdem. Its like a magic show to inexperienced folks that don't play those games but its just knowing what cards are dead and which are still alive.

Today I played a tournament, I have J9o. I see that only J or 9 on the river will save me. So I started calling 9. She came. Only another player had A9o :D As a result, he called, but not for himself)

Good key piece of advice. If you are "asking" for a card on the river more often than not you should probably not be in the pot unless it is VERY small. One of the biggest mistakes I made when starting poker was chasing flushes and straights. I have this stat burned into my mind from the day I read it. If you flop an open ender after the flop you have about 1/3 chance of hitting it. When the pots are big it never seems to get there with your wish card hahahha.

So I would say less than I had hoped. But always wishing for more. :icon_sant

Not too often but it's happen. It's easy when you ask a card for a flush for example. It's harder when you looking for three of a kind then procentage of win is smaller. However many times river is cruel for me especially when i go all in no matter if i go all in in preflop or on the flop.

this happened to me in a live tournament today, I went all in with TT and the guy called me with AQ then on the flop it hits QQJ then on the tuner it hits K then I ask a lot the T there on the river hits the T and I took the hand then 2 rounds later I came with AT then I went all in because of ta with 12bbs in the tournament and 2 came in the hand one came from KK the other from 99 then the flop hits QJA then the tuner hits the Q and the river hits the T ai I fall in the tournament because of the same T I ask for on River.
