Even if you are playing for fun, if poker is on your mind constantly and you sacrifice relationships or goals and ambitions or if you start shirking responsibilities then you are probably an addict and should quit immediately. I was addicted to slots and cigarettes .. I quit them both and my life is so much better now. You can do it.

to me is totally a hobby. i really dont play for money. the only times i play for money are with my friends. and even then we dont really spend that much money. really cheap. just to have fun, drink together. so hobby for sure

This is an tricky question. It depend from person to person, for me is an not very much profitable hobby at this moment. However i love to play and i have self control so i know i will sit and play if i have 2 3 hours for playing. Mostly at evening when i finish everything i had to do during the day. But i will not sacrifice my family and relations because of poker.

I would guess 99% on this site are hobby type players, I doubt Pros go in for freerolls much.
For me its a hobby to see how much free money I can make. I have cashed out a few hundred over the years, more or less all from Freerolls, and maybe a little from low stakes play. Right now I have over $200 built up in bankrolls between 3 rooms.
Maybe one day I will try to turn it into a bigger pile playing for higher stakes...

There are players who earn more in one tournament than I have in my entire life. I do not think that they would like to exchange with me)))
