Michigan online poker player pool joins other states

Michigan had applied to the Multistate Internet gambling Agreement and has now been accepted! The player pool from Michigan will now join player pools from the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada.

Pennsylvania player pool is the only state that remains geofenced, so far.

Would be a lot better, if they joined the player pool of the world though. This whole geofencing stupidity is slowly but surely killing online poker

This is good news
I'd MUCH prefer the world pool without geofencing silliness, but hey, this is at least a major step which might serve as a stepping stone to joining the world pool (puns intended )
I live in Michigan and have been waiting for good poker news like this for a long time; if joining the world player pool happens in the near future, then that would be a good thing for poker

In my opinion, there shouldn't be isolated groups, it seems like discrimination, because a single group is the global one

Dont hold your hopes high. The player pools of france, Spain and portugal have been merged for years, and this has not let to an end to geofencing. If anything it has kept it alive, because it has made in more sustainable for sites to operate in the fenced areas. I am honestly beginning to feel, that unregulated sites like ACR or BOL are a lesser evil than the regulations, that are actually taking place in both the US and now also canada. Which is kind of interesting, since CC has recently decided to terminate their affiliation with unregulated sites completely. I am sure, CC had their reasons for this, but for me as an outsider this seem like a step in the wrong direction for players.

I like to think that all players from all over the world will one day be able to play together. I would like to live during this time. Any separation of players only harms poker.
