I know many of us here, myself included, mostly play freerolls to earn a buy-in for other tournaments — like $1, $5, or $10 events. It’s a great way to climb up without risking real money.
But I’m curious — what’s the highest buy-in you’ve ever managed to enter using only freeroll winnings?
And did you end up cashing in that tournament or even taking it down?
Would love to hear your stories — let’s see how far freeroll grinders can go! 💪🃏

I guess i did with freerolls arround 500$ so far. I cant say how much exactly just because i cash out regularly. Its really the best and training you can do. You learn to play in long term because it can take a long time untill you can grow a usefull bankroll. At the moment i am at 55€ and will grow till 120€ and then start playing 0.50$ tournaments.

So far I won only one ticket to a 25-dollar tournament, judge it and win $10 if I remember correctly, I don't really play it very well, but it was an experience that helps me to improve

For me, poker is a source of income. I play in a disciplined and patient manner and I always stick to bankroll management. My bankroll is $200, and I withdraw anything over that. I don't play in tournaments with a buy-in of more than $2.2. I managed to win one of these tournaments and got about $480.

Hello, I have been banking for several months in several rooms at the end of the freeroll I have reached many final tables several times but I have only won 1, now the players with more players have become harder but it has made me learn much more because one adapts to each one, I am not in a hurry I must learn in the short time I have since I am the father of a 1-year-old baby and I must take advantage of the few moments in which I can play.

I think it's well worth trying to freeroll up to bigger tournaments if you have the time and patience.

My highlights..
$109 ticket to "Sunday Party" on party poker, best finish so far was 6th for ~$1800
$700 (£525) ticket to live event on Sky Poker

I am trying to win a £1k package to Live UK events on Party at the moment, wish me luck!

Before the Ontario government messed up poker, I played at unibet. They had freerolls to win tickets to satellites to The Unibet Open. If I am not mistaken, I had to win 6 or 7 satellites to qualify for the main event, which had a buy-in of 1100 Euros. I was super excited to play in such a big tournament. I used the Cardschat pros threads for advice…if I’m not mistaken, one of them was playing the same tournament…he still offered me advice…I was running on pure adrenaline for a week before the tournament started. The final payouts were over $400K…unfortunately, I didn’t cash, but I played for about 4 hours. Since then, the biggest ticket that I won via freeroll has been for the $33 knockout tournament on 888 Poker.
Winning a ticket to a big tournament is possible, but requires a lot of time, patience and luck.

Well, I am relatively new to the world of poker, I am currently in a school, I am taking classes and I am mixed between bean tournaments and tournaments up to a maximum of $2, but my strongest sound is beans because what I am looking for is to make a bank and respect it, of course, because if I don't respect it later on I won't do it and why I do it like this, being able to have a bank from my personal background, I do it that way because I feel that you create more appreciation for the time it takes and out of what I teach you to accumulate it
