Perhaps it depends on how "they" are confident in themselves, in their skills and experience. I don't know what "they" do, but I usually try to be as focused as possible and follow every decision of my opponents.

Hi everyone. In one of my first money games when I was a student, a friend of mine taught me this rule: if you sit down to play, don't think about money. I've noticed that once you start thinking about how much money you can lose in a game, you're bound to lose. Even when I get into the prize zone, I focus even more on the game than on the prizes. Yes, I monitor my position in the table, slightly expand my range of hands, but I can't say that my game is changing much. Also, many players, I think, when they get to the final table, expand their range of hands to play, turn on bluffs, but as soon as they start thinking about money, they lose or make a deal. Perhaps I'm exaggerating a lot if you're not sure of yourself, you'll make a deal too. Not sure who they are but in my case it depends on few things. Do I know those ppl and have some insight how they play. How much chips do I have. If I am chipleader I can be more agressive If I am on low side I will wait for good hand for all in.

The first thing, I do on the final table, it to access the situation, when it comes to stack sizes, positions and player types. In general the big stacks should look to play more loose and put pressure on shorter stacks. The mid stacks should tighten up, especially if they have big stacks on their left. And finally the short stacks should play a relatively normal game but perhaps be a bit less willing to call off other players.
As the final thing I will look at, what my HUD tell me about the opponents. Who are solid regulars, who are fish, who are nits, and who are maniacs. If you want to, you can also look people up on sharkscope and see, what that tell you about them. Maybe someone is playing much higher than normal and might be uncomfortable with the money at stake. Or maybe on the countrary they are a midstakes MTT player, who just threw in a $5,5 buyin for fun or to add more tables.

if I suddenly make it to the final, I just play first and if there's a time to take the risk, I'll do it because poker is sometimes the one who risks the most, so if you have a choice between 9th place and 1st, I'll certainly choose first place and play very aggressively at the right time

It depends on my stack, if I don't have much I just wait calmly and try not to be so reckless when betting or playing, but if I have a good stack I will probably play a little more aggressively but without trying to abuse it, it also depends on how it develops the game at the table, everything depends on several factors

I take a look at the prizes when the late registration ends, and never again. I use a straightforward strategy, play very tight when short stacked for as long as possible and let others fight while I kill time for a great hand. Very large chip stack, I judge my opponent's modus and generally throw my weight around. Heads up I will play almost any medium hand with a wide range (even 22). I bargained for a deal at a casino tournament once and afterwards I regretted it!

it depends on stacks and positions, my stack compared to other stacks of other players... who is infront of me and who sits behind me...
I might go lose/aggressive if I have a big stack and short stacked tight players sitting behind me, or just sit tight if my stack is low and there are maniacs behind me... There is no perfect solution, always have to adjust.

What I do at the final table is it depends on how I get with my chips or stcak, if I have a good stack I become more aggressive and I try to exploit my range of hands but not exaggerating about it either. and if I come in short in chips I try to play more standardized hands and if I have to risk some I do so. I hope I've helped
