Tilt doesn’t always hit us like a storm—sometimes it sneaks in slowly.
How do you recognize it early, and what do you do to stop it before it gets worse?

Get the book "The Mental Game of Poker" by Jared Tendler---the digital version is very inexpensive and will save you thousands of dollars in tilt errors.

It’s a skill that can be learned on how to control yourself. Definitely reading books on this subject will help as eetenor has pointed out. This is something you must do if you truly want to level up your game.

Stop playing if you get as worked up as I used to, its just pathetic.

Throwing your chips at people because of a bad beat, feeling unlucky because your AA got busted so you're just jamming mid hands, etc etc.

Nowadays, I got that fairly under control, I might spew for a hand or two if I'm really aggravated, just being honest.

You're going to have to emotionally mature and reflect on yourself a bit, AKA grow up a bit, and control that overly competitive nature (my biggest issue, I am stubborn and I hate losing in general).

Self reflection alone is a tough one for many, to be honest. It's gonna take time, and working on yourself is much harder then improving a poker game.

I admit I got beaten this time. It took me a bit to accept it, but that’s how it goes. With patience and better decisions, things eventually turn around
