Poker is teaching me that patience is just as important as skill.
Not every hand needs to be played, and not every session needs action.
I’m trying to stay disciplined, avoid playing when I’m tired, and keep my decisions simple.
In the long run, staying calm and focused matters more than chasing quick results.
What is the most important lesson poker has taught you so far?

Patients is definitely a skill that needs to be mastered in this game. I didn’t have any when I first started playing and I remember my wife saying “just stay patient”. She was always patient and cashed way more tournaments than I did early on. So I had to learn that skill and it really leveled up my game once I did. The other skill that leveled up my game was self control. Not tilting. Self control is the only thing at the table that you can control, and once you get a handle on this you won’t feel so entitled anymore, you won’t feel angry, it’s a lot more fun to just take things as they come and whatever happens happens and you can just move on from it. We get busted out on a one outter there is always next time.

Patience is what will give you prospects. Without patience, there are no prospects. Patience is a key factor that will influence your game and your whole life.
