Thinking about the river in this particular situation is perhaps taking it a bit to far, because the board can run out in so many different ways, and we dont yet know the turn action. But the way you put it, we are playing in a purely reactive way, which in my opinion is often a receipt for making bad decisions. For instance we should not be like "holy crap my opponent bet the turn, what now???" if we check back the flop, because its 100% predictable, that this will happen quite often. So we should have some general idea of, how we are going to play the rest of the hand or at least the next street. [/QUOTE]
