The most important thing for someone starting to play poker is to study pre-flop play.

Below are some suggestions for basic content:

RFI - Opening hands from each position

C-bet IP - Continuation bet in position

Blind War - Small Blind vs. Big Blind and Big Blind vs. Small Blind

Big Blind Defense - Which range to defend against from each position

Master these concepts and then move on to other topics.

For a beginner in poker, the main thing is not to try to learn everything at once. You need to start with a foundation that will allow you not to “fill” your bankroll on the very first evening.

I hate to nit-pick buuut C-bet is not a preflop study point:love:---However, imagining what boards are good for your range prior to seeing the flop is a great preflop study technique. It really helps to look beyond your hand and reflect on all the hands you could have and use that to decide what boards you will bet post flop even if you miss your hand.
