Do you use it? Live or online? For a bluff? Or maybe for a premium card? How do you think you can use it to exert psychological pressure on your opponents? Or maybe influence their game?

Occasional bluffs involving huge pots should be shown to imbalance your opponents!
Once the tilt mode switches on, they leak chips!

Only in exceptional hands

Example:
Villain bluff All in on clubs flush street, but i have ace clubs
I show clubs ace to him, saying, I know it's a bluff, but i will fold beacause a don't have 5 cards to flush.

I only show my cards in a few specific situations. The first one is when I’m in the big blind and everyone folds, and I happened to have a premium hand. There’s no real strategic reason behind it, I just do it for fun and to laugh a bit about not getting the chance to play a strong hand.

The second situation is after a well-executed bluff, although I don’t do this very often. I usually prefer to leave my opponents guessing, since showing a bluff is basically giving away free information.

The third case, and the only one where I think it can actually have some value, is in tournaments when everyone is short-stacked and I go all in to steal with a marginal hand, like K5. Sometimes I show the king to make opponents think I might have had a stronger hand than I actually did.

Overall, I don’t think showing cards is very useful. In most bluff situations, it just gives information away, and against good players it doesn’t really change how they play, it only shows that you’re capable of taking certain risks.

Online I don't think that I've ever shown my cards unless I was in a showdown. Live is a different story. People don't see my cards very often because usually either I'm folding or they're folding, but when I'm in a showdown I always show them. If there is a person who has a habit of showing theirs to me, I'll probably show at least one hand to return the favor. One night in New Hampshire a few years back I was head to head and the other player said if I showed him my cards and he'd fold, so I did and then he did. :)

Don’t show randomly. Show with a plan for how it changes the flow of the game and others decisions.

I never show my cards online. In general it just give away free information not just to the opponent, who was in the hand, but also to everyone else at the table.

In the past I Used to do it very few times or rarely . Then I stopped it . For years now I do not use it , I hide my cards , never reveal them willingly . Cause I don't believe you affect anyone , the fish are very few nowadays , most don't get fooled by your attempts to affect them . They don't pay attention to such tricks . I see very few players using it , most players don't show =heir cards . At least online

showing cards can be dangerous , even if you are not involved in the hand, never give aclue to your opponents about what is happening at the table.

It's better not to show it. You can just raise a little at the showdown so they see the bluff. Then catch them with that bait. )

I always have a goal in live games! You play tight, you show premium cards, you don't bluff, but if they fold, you show once! This can be a way to accommodate a more relaxed style of play, but still be respected at the table?

Cash game I never use it. You wanna see you pay.

Now in MTT's where you're time and the number of hands you get is going to limited in certain situations I've found it useful to show 1 card of my choosing depending on the board and what I want villain to believe and what I'm current table is image is. I like to make it look like I'm bluffing so I get paid off big on the next good hand I have. A lot more times then not it works.

Cheers!!!

I almost never show, but sometimes I will and especially in more casual games, or games with a looser playstyle and more party/for-fun atmosphere. Besides, those players aren't as likely to know how to exploit information based on you showing. Similarly, I'll show to encourage others showing if I think they won't adjust much.

Live, it’s fun because you get to watch people’s souls leave their bodies.

Online, it’s basically just pressing a button and hoping someone somewhere is tilted.

I only play online and have, in over 40 years playing poker, shown my hand, why give an opponent any
help when you don't have to? I don't get it.
