The most important one is play within your bankroll and level of skill. If you play with players who are much better than you, you will end up loosing a lot of money. If you play with money you cannot afford to loose, you will eventually have loss and blow up your bankroll. If you just play online for fun, make sure you don't loose more that you can afford to.

At the start of the year, I focus on playing more conservatively and protecting my bankroll above all else. I stick to limits I can comfortably afford, avoid unnecessary gambles, and prioritize solid, low-variance decisions over flashy plays. The goal is to survive and stay consistent, not to force quick results.
I also set clear goals and review my results regularly, so I can adjust before small leaks become expensive mistakes. Starting the year with discipline creates a stable foundation and reduces pressure for the rest of the grind.
