Is there much difference between online poker and live poker?

You can play online at home in the nude. There is more play online, more disciplines, more opponents. You can play at 16 tables simultaneously.Online poker requires more analytics. Live play requires concentration on the opponent and his emotions.

Yes and no. The rules are the same and the correct plays are still the correct plays, but in general, live is much softer than online as the players are much less studied than online players.

Live is much slower and there is a whole other dimension to "reality" , but it is just a really good illusion in the matrix.

The difference is enormous. In general, I think they are essentially different games.

Live poker is a social game…there will be plenty of conversation…much easier to join in than type in the chat box. Stay focused…be prepared to act when it is your turn, so you don’t look too much like a newby or a deer in the headlights…there is no buzzer or beeping when it’s your turn.
