Hello to all players
I want to know what you think of cards being handed out in poker rooms. Do you see that sometimes cards are unnaturally shuffled. Do you think poker rooms control the cards??? I've had a lot of unbelievable similar situations. I know it's a game of chance and anything can happen, but sometimes it's just overkill. Do you think poker rooms direct cards to promote players who have a larger deposit, for example?

All on-line poker sites have to use Random Number Generator Software, RGN, they have to in order for the games to run, depending where the site is located (Country), they have to abide by the Gaming Commission Regulations and are frequently inspected to insure fair play and nothing is being done that could be considered Criminal.
All we have to do as a consumer is ensure you are playing on a reputable site, and you really cannot be ripped off,
"Rigged" Poker sites is a term thought up by individuals who believe in all sorts of Conspiracy Theories from "Flat Earth" to "Moon Landings" So in a nutshell I do not believe in "Rigged" Poker or a "Flat Earth".
What I do understand is When I am up against a Player who has more Chips than I have, He will widen his calling range so when I shove all-in he will call with practically any 2 cards in order to take me out. If I shove with 10,000 chips and he has 100,000 Stack he is not folding any Ace rag hand that could beat me if I am shoving with K/K. Q/Q or similar. Get used to that and you will soon understand Poker a little better.

Hi. There is this thing called "outliers" in normal data distributions which you probably called as "unnaturally shuffled cards". It is actually a natural occurence in statistical probabilities.

I don't know if there is something in that. I am suspicious of how online play favours certain players. Particularly in pokerstars; if you have a decent bankroll or deposit larger sums of money, your chest function fills up quicker...🤔🤔🤔🤨

The cards are given randomly, are regulated and have requirements to be enabled, don't worry. It is true that they can beat you in an absurd way, but there are other factors such as luck, the rival, your chips, the tournament.

That's right, if you make a lot of deposits, you'll get good cards because it's their tactic so that every player makes a deposit and they will lead more than other players who don't in any game, so if you deposit money, of course, have fun, and if you're poor you'll have to play tight enough to get far in the tournament

It's natural to feel frustrated or suspicious when facing a series of unfortunate or seemingly improbable situations. There is something called 'Confirmation Bias': our brains are wired to seek patterns and make sense of random events. Sometimes, it's easy to perceive a string of bad luck as something more significant than it actually is. So it is important to be aware of confirmation bias and approach the game with a rational mindset.

I have never in 20 years heard a good reason for them to do that.

The larger the deposit, the more profit you get ??? It doesn't work like that!!! Many good players just don't make deposits, but play with the money they win and don't complain about bad hands !!!

Everything is regulated so no… Try thinking about how many outcomes would seem odd or fixed in a hand. It is the same shown in YLANs graph. A LOT of outcomes would seem unlikely and strange… 🙂

There are already 1000000 threads about this and it is getting boring.

Just do something else with ur time if u think u are getting cheated. Noone here will have any meaningfull samplesize with evidence or any other type of real evidence other than what "they saw and believe".

Don't despair, the next thread on this topic may be the one to reveal all. Yup, just a matter of time, I can feel it coming, I mean hell, it can't be random chance or o_O my own lack of skill that's holding me back, no sir, no way.

Everything is possible, sometimes you have doubts.

For example when you go all in and your opponent calls, before the cards are revealed you expect a strong hand from your opponent, but when you look at his hand you are shocked, you say it's not possible but why he calls with bottom pair, and coincidentally he has a backdoor flush and wins the pot with a high flush of 7 !

If you play hundreds if not thousands of hands a week, you’ll see a lot of repetition, mental bias will make you focus on specific situations

This would be so illegal, why would they take that risk when poker sites are already massively profitable?

Are the sites ripping us off, well lets see.

I was dealt poker aces 2 hands in a row and ran into AQ both time vs the same player. So odd.

2 weeks later I again got dealt back to back pocket aces. HMMMM could this be rigged. zI also won all 4 hands. HMM

A flop of the same 3 cards dealt twice in a row. OK now I am worried.

A player had quads and then a royal flush over 3 dealt hands. Getting to be a bit much it must be rigged.

I was one outed 2 tournaments in a row for sickest bad beats. Yep online poker must be rigged.

OK we have an issue here don't we? I think there is something wrong with how they are being dealt. All these card rooms are rigged. All these happened in the casino. Foxwoods, Mohegan sun and Rivers casinos are using really bad RNG aren't they.

I understand people don't like the beats they take online but if you play live enough you will realize that the online card rooms are really OK and not rigged.

I do not think so. I think you are wrong. If your results do not satisfy you, it does not mean that there are only scammers around :)

This is yet another rigged poker thread, with nothing new from both sides of the argument. My take aways from seeing this for several years now:

There's no reason for a poker site to risk everything by rigging their card shuffling system. They have everything to lose from being discovered. Ok, but what about a programmer hired to code the system somewhere along the line that may have wanted to benefit from knowing some things about the card shuffle? Or what about a flawed shuffling system that isn't really as random as advertised? Don't just blame a poker site as intentionally rigging their games.

If you experience a lot of unreal situations in online poker, maybe also consider what is real and unreal in poker in general? At what point can you conclusively state that something is normal or not normal with how the cards run? Everything that happens online can also happen live. We are not talking about seeing 5 aces in the deck or a pair beating a straight. None of that happens. Nor are we talking about how many times aces are cracked by lower pairs. Or even draws beating other draws. That is still normal within the game of poker.

The problem is that many that complain about the way the cards fall also do not really understand what is normal and what is not normal in poker.

But how would the players know this? There'd be no incentive to deposit if they didn't know this.
Keep dreaming them up though.

for OP's question "NO"

No, blaming rigged poker sites for poor play is a cop out. Suck-out's and coolers happen. Focus the energy on getting better at poker. Annualize your own game, minimize mistakes.

When companies advertise excitement.... then they are admitting they control the game?
