Hey everyone,
I noticed that when I play too many sessions in a row, my decisions become less sharp.
But when I play less often, I feel more focused.

What about you?
Do you perform better with high volume or shorter, more selective sessions?

It's better at lower volume, so you can concentrate better on the next few sessions of the game.

Fewer, more selective sessions for sure. High volume requires very strict rules and following those rules, which has never been my forte.

The issue is always how to select just the right sessions. You still need rules, including a:

I feel I have to take a rest for 2-3 days each month. Today I played only one freeroll.

Your mind can only stay focused in short bursts of time at most 30 minutes. If you want high volume hands, multi-table.

Low/mid-stakes online gaming → profits are made from high volume.
High stakes and live gaming → performance is best with selective, highly focused sessions.

I think I make better decisions when I give my brain some time to rest, away from the poker tables. And anyway, that is what I do because I'm a recreational player. Poker is just a hobby. And even though I would want it to, it does not pay my bills. Anyway, I still try hard to play my best every poker session. And sometimes I tilt very easily also.

I think everyone is better with low numbers of tables

I also think that playing more consecutive sessions slightly affects the precision of the actions; since I play on my laptop, I like to open only about four screens at the same time.

I play better with low volume. Fewer tables let me focus more and avoid autopilot. High volume is fine for grinding rewards, but I make sharper decisions when I keep it small.

I try to play between 500 and 600 games per month, and I try to play a maximum of 8 tables simultaneously so I can stay focused on my tournaments.
