I’m currently at an ROI of about 7% at the $5 level. I’ve noticed that when I play good players here, I am probably break even and when I play the exceptional players, I am probably running at a slight loss.

So my question is, how much more difficult is the leap to $10 games and then to $30 games? Any estimates on ROI differences? I feel like there are a healthy amount of amateurs at the $5 level. Also, I didn’t notice a huge difference from $1-$5. Same thing from 5-10? I play poker stars PA. Also, at a certain level I know that one needs to study intently. I just like to play while watching TV in the evening so study isn’t really “in the cards” right now.

Have you already thought about the number of players on the platform? My own results indicate that it makes a difference if there's 30k players on the platform compared to 60k players. I'm not sure about weekends, but maybe there's also a difference to weekdays.

The hypothesis being that the more players there are, the more bad players are also in the higher levels. If correct, it would mean that you should play low level and then switch to a higher level as soon as on average enough beatable players are available for you.
