Yes and no. I think a lot depends on the level you're playing, and the seriousness of the other players. $2.50 is way down on the buy-in scale. The lower the buy-in, the less serious the play. A bounty game run at turbo speed is by definition going to be fast and furious. That's 3 strikes against.

Turbos, check mark #1 for random BS, people getting squeezed by the clock to play un-optimally and make just about every hand with .5 a blind count.

Bounties, check mark #2, people use to justify donk plays.

Micro games, check mark #3, people don't respect the buy-in.

Put em' all together and its a GTO specialists playground. Not my favourite environment, literally reduces the prize pool to increase variance, good for the house and recs.

I understand why they are so popular nowadays, just not my cup of tea if I have a choice.
