I played in that one too, and honestly it felt like pure luck to get paid. With so many players and so few paid spots, it felt more like buying a lottery ticket than playing poker 😅.

That’s because of the Mystery Bounty — the prize pool is over 7,000 in the Mystery Bounty, which will start when 20% of the players remain. Tomorrow, for example, there’s a regular-format tournament with 844 paid places.

That's strange that for a freeroll, they'd keep the prize distribution so small. Usually w/ freerolls, people are just happy to get a few bucks.

Is that normal on there?

I've only done cash games, and the site itself is soft af.
