WPT Global (error WGL: the driver does not appear to suport OpenGL)

Has anyone had this error when installing the WPT Global software?
I've tried several ways. Has anyone succeeded?

Yes, than that's not the issue.

Unfortunately I'm not a huge techy, so hopefully someone else is able to help.

I just ran into the same issue. I'm running a virtual machine on my Linux computer. From what I read it seems like WPT global requires a later version of DirectX, but my system only supports an earlier version. Maybe the same thing is happening to you?

Yes, than that's not the issue.

Unfortunately I'm not a huge techy, so hopefully someone else is able to help.

W10 is outdated. There are no more updates to it. Yes it's not exactly old but this could still be the issue here.

No new releases maybe but (security) updates and support until October 2025.

I assume it's still one of the most used OSs nowadays.

I'd be very surprised if it's not supported by WPT.

Probably some other software components are incompatible here.

Ah I did not know it can still get security updates. I thought its already over sorry.

Probably. My DirectX is 11, not that old. Too bad.

I don't think it's the OS. It probably requires DirectX 12 (which is unexpected for poker software), and mine is 11.

If you could check if yours is 12...

I don't play there sorry but maybe @Poker Orifice can do this 4 u.

I use Windows 11 and when I try to install WPT on my PC I receive the same message I can only play via cell phone, I didn't find out what the error would be on the PC I already updated drivers I tried on another PC but I always receive the same message when I try to install...
