[QUOTE="300HPGOD, post: 6448224, member: 305911"] As Fundiver says this is a jam or fold spot. I dont know anything about CO and not sure you did either other than the 8 hands of stats but we should range them here before we decide anything else. I would say as a blanket statement that their range is probably any pair, any suited ace, maybe any Ax but at least A8 plus and most of the wheel aces, some Kx suited, K10 off plus. Of course that all depends on how good they jam and we could not know that (they obviously jam wider than I thought they would). Not saying my range is correct but just a general idea. That would put us at roughly 55% equity against them which is good but its not sh*tting on their range. Then I would decide what type of player is the BB. Are they someone who is active and looks for a reason to get into pots and wars or are they someone who even though they have a lot of chips, likes to sit back a little and let others knock each other out. Maybe no way of knowing that depending on how early this is in the STT but I would try to at least take a guess. With those two things I would then make my decision to either jam over or fold. Calling leaves you vulnerable to BB and you should only be calling here with your top hand or hands (AA and maybe KK). Given that this is still for 1/4th of my stack and I feel like we would be flipping often or could be crushed by CO and then still have to worry about BB behind I would fold 77 here. This is one of those spots where there is a big difference in my opinion between 77 and 88 or 99 since with the latter there is now so many more hands that we are better than flipping against and also less larger pocket pairs we have to worry about.
