Many tournament players struggle to find the right balance between aggression and survival during the mid stages of MTTs. At this point, stacks are often between 25–50BB, antes are significant, and ICM pressure slowly starts to appear.

Do you think it’s better to lean towards tighter play to secure a deeper run, or should we continue applying pressure with light 3-bets and steals? Personally, I often face a dilemma: sometimes being aggressive wins me chips, but other times it leads to unnecessary flips or bustouts before the money.

How do you approach this stage of the tournament? Do you prefer survival or chip accumulation — and what adjustments do you make depending on table dynamics?

Survival - 40%. Chip accumulation - 60%. There are no overall adjustments. Watch the table, watch your opponents, click on their stats. Observe their reaction time, their behaviour, their bluffs, their hole cards. Every hand is different. Every raise eversy flop.
