I get confused in tournaments when my stack gets short (around 10-15 big blinds). I know I need to be shoving all-in, but I'm not sure which hands. Is it bad to shove with hands like KJo or A9o from middle position? Are there any good, simple charts out there for this? I feel like I'm either waiting too long and blinding out or shoving too wide and getting called.

Nice one here..

Very important you select ante if applicable (most likely it will be)

Example @12bb LJ..
1760975788839

Something to remember is you are NOT always going to win in these spots, but it doesn't mean you made a mistake when you lose, you made a good shove with a desperate stack.

Its also important to note, I think, that many of these hands are marginal, so don't actually win much, therefore its nt wrong either to fold the more borderline hands. They also require other players to fold correctly. Personally I believe at low stakes they don't and many will call off a little wider, some will call off tighter. So its important to use this as a guide only.

It doesn't mean you always have to make the play cos the chart says so.

For example, its not wrong to fold A8o, J8s, A3s, as you are still risking your tournament life, If you feel you have tight players ahead, then def go for it, but if you're not sure, you can tighten up a bit.

Also, I'm assuming this range is from an unopened pot! If you are newish to poker, then this is not to shove these hands if someone has already min raised.
Hope that helps

In my opinion, it's a big misconception that you have to do everything when you have few chips left. It is necessary to ensure resilience and play a medium/strong hand. I remember watching an analysis of the tournament where the player took a seat at the final table for a long time, although at the very beginning of the tournament he only had chips left for the small blind. I remember that incident very much back then and made my game more stable even when I'm the poorest at the table))

Nash shove charts are easy to find...but we need to dive deeper into short stack play than just shove or fold.

A good place to start is GTO WIZARD--free version will give you a solid baseline for equal stacks much better than Nash shove or fold

Simple example for WIZ HJ open 14bb stack --11% Jam 17% limp 10bb stack 24% Jam 4% limp

Study that and then post again with more specific questions if you wish.
