I never thought that I'd be doing that, but I've been playing PLO and PLO8 freerolls on America's Cardroom (ACR) to get a feel for the game. So last Tuesday while my clothes were in the dryer at the laundromat, I drove up the street to wait at home until they were done. I had over an hour so I figured I'd play a free roll while I waited, and expected to be knocked out before the clothes were dry. I was really wrong and won a number of big pots. If it was just the clothes I would have just continued playing and gone down to the laundromat after, but I'd also made plans to go to the range and do a little shooting.

So I clicked "Sit Out" and headed down to get my clothes. Well when I got home about three hours later I signed on to ACR to see how I'd done. I'd finished 44th out of 1200 some entrants. :)

It happens in freerolls, sometimes I do it, just because I am not in the mood to play at all. Mini cashes only.

I've entered freerolls 5 minutes before dinner, won a few hands, then sat out for a couple of hours...and cashed...it beats playing for 3 hours and finishing out of the money. It's weird, but that can happen.

I've had this happen to me more than once in freerolls, especially those with a low prize pool. I'd play for about half an hour, make a lot of chips, and then leave the game for various reasons and turn off my computer. When I came back a few hours later and checked the game, it turned out I was in the payout pool. It's nothing special.
