Sometimes I really pity you. Then I remember the pain is self inflicted and I'm just confused.

Debating on if I should move up in buyins a little? Think a couple people told me once to move up so people respect my run good. Hmmm something to ponder over while drinking my coffee.
lol that is probably a very valid point.Us mtt players are too busy playing tournaments 6-12 hours a day to post in our thread lol.

You're running and playing well, I assume you're well rolled for slightly higher limits so go for it. .

Also PLO is the second coming of Jesus. I don't really know what's going on and I don't have a HUD so learning to actually concentrate is hard with so many cards but it's sick fun.
If your the one asking Chippy I def dont mind. My biggest problem is that I dont keep money online nearly as much as I should. Being out of work and only making 60% of my weekly salary from Workmans Comp makes the bills a little tight. So when I do bink a tourney or get deep I see a couple hundred bucks and say "Well thats a week's salary" and I take it out and put it towards my bills.
I know its terrible BRM but I see it as putting the money towards a better cause. My family.
My roll is not huge and if I were to go broke I have money that I set aside for poker that I can use. Online currently have almost a grand and in my poker savings I have around 2400.
Omaha was, is, and always will be, my game of choice. I love the game and feel like Iam better than the average player at it.
I took some shots at bigger games last week and a few decent runs but nothing worth mentioning. Maybe my shots were a little too big who knows.
Thanks for the ego boost broskie!!!

There is a level where this is not true anymore as you end up not good enough to win more by playing higher, but I very much doubt you're there yet.
I think I understand what your saying Belgo about needing money to make money. Can u compound on the quoted statement a little more. No Iam not levelling. Just want to make sure that Iam fully understanding your point.
if you had the same winrate in bb/100 at all levels, moving up in stakes would allow you to see an exponential growth of your $/h instead of a linear growth if you stay at the same stake. Exponential vs. linear is a pretty big deal.
obviously your winrate in bb/100 goes down as you move up, but as long as your $/100 is increasing, moving up is much more +EV than withdrawing.
Thanks Belgo. I fully understand what you mean. I really cant explain why I do what I do. I find it hard to keep alot on because I feel like my family would benefit more from it rather than playing and potentially losing with it. So i just keep grinding the micros and taking occasional shots. Especially since only recently have I been able to put in a comfortable amount of volume, being out injured from work. Before that I just was comfortable being a recreational player who could bink something here or there.

PC, why not just cash out some and keep some to keep the roll building. Do a 50/50 mix, that way you have positive growth on the bankroll and something to pay the bills with.

Money is not money as long as it's in your poker account. It's only the tool you need to be able to earn money at this game. It only becomes money once you cash it out.
Having this mental disconnect between money in your poker account and money in your pocket is absolutely necessary when you move up in stakes. Even at 100nl it's not uncommon to have a +$1k or -$1k day at the tables. If you consider that real money, it seriously screws up your mind. But really it's not real money as long as it sits in your BR.
