agreed, the first half hour or so was really weird, but then it just took off, it was hilarious and unpredictable and awesome :)

Yeah it was Marg.

Good flick. Natalie Portman's debut, I think. Luc Besson and Gary Oldman are both great.

Yeah, that was me. I consider it one of the best movies I've ever seen due to the emotions it struck in me the first time I watched it. I think the major factor in that is the relationship between Jean and Natalie. Its like a father daughter relation at times and then kinda lover like relations which is kinda weird but if you think of it in the emotional age of the character, it works.

PS, did you see the American release of the one that was 2 hours and 10 minutes long. The American version is trash because it misses the most important emotional scenes.

The good thing about being 'that guy' is that it covers all bases, both that awesome guy or that weird guy you tell the kids to stay away from.

I like pay for Netflix every month yet I never use it. Only the wife and kids use it. Gonna go peak at it and see what all the hoopla is.

Oh and Amelie is in my opinion one of the top 5 romance movies of all time. It has such an amazing and loveable lead that it really will put a smile on any asshole's face
