I’ve noticed that playing poker with friends feels very different compared to playing with strangers online or in casinos. With friends, it’s more relaxed and social, but sometimes it’s harder to take the game seriously. Against strangers, I feel more focused and competitive. Both have their pros and cons depending on the mood. I’m curious what others prefer. Do you enjoy friendly home games more, or do you like the challenge of playing unknown opponents?

Playing with your friends, if you relax, they beat you...))) You have to play the same way with anyone, and if you give concessions, it's not at your own expense...)

Those casino poker rooms. It's pretty wild when you realize they all know each other so well. It's amazing there isn't more collusion

For me, they are two very different experiences. Playing with friends is more relaxed and social, but it’s easy to lose discipline and not take every decision seriously. Against strangers, especially online or in casinos, I’m much more focused and competitive every hand feels important.

It really depends on my mood: for fun and relaxation, friends are great, but for improvement and real challenge, I prefer playing against unknown opponents.

Playing poker with strangers or with friends depends on the objective. If it's for social fun, it's better to play with friends, but if it's for a strategic challenge in order to win money, it's better to play against strangers.

Playing live with friends is just a way to relax. Playing online is also entertainment, but it's entertainment that can potentially bring in money, so I always play with focus and don't allow myself to relax.

It's more exciting to play against strangers; we naturally become more competitive.
