What’s one ā€œbad habitā€ you KNOW is costing you money but still haven’t fixed?

Playing too many tables at once.
It increases volume, but reduces the quality of fine decisions. Many know they would make more money playing fewer tables… but it’s hard to scale down.

Honestly? Playing too many marginal hands just because they’re cheap to see.
I know those ā€œjust one more flopā€ calls add up over time, but in the moment it feels harmless. Long-term… not so much šŸ˜…

Playing on auto pilot without thinking too much. I seem to imagine the "correct" way to play and stick to it without thinking out of the box.

Probably multitasking. I know for a fact that when I’m playing, I still end up scrolling the internet or browsing card chat forum or something else. It feels harmless while doing it, but it definitely costs money on the long run. It's hard to get rid of this habit, usually I succeed by listening to loud music, which gives me enough "something else" but does not take away my attention from he game.

What’s one poker habit you had to unlearn to start winning?

Trying to win back the lost money. It leads to me losing more money. That's my worst habit.

I think I played too aggressively on the pre-flop in the wrong positions at the table. So I changed my playing style and became more successful. At least, I think so. :ROFLMAO:

For me, the hardest habit to unlearn was chasing losses. After losing, I felt the urge to play more hands, faster, and with less discipline. Once I accepted that one session doesn’t matter and that folding can be a winning decision, my game became much more consistent.

Playing poker xD
Kidding. lol. Maybe my real "bad habit" is staying with freerolls and not moving up to small stake games that are larger. In a way, that costs me money by opportunity cost.

I know my opponent is on a draw on the flop I have toppair.I make it expensive to draw .On the river she hits the draw,I check ,she bets and I call and there it is the draw she hit! Maybe I will fold next time, probably not!
