I favor playing 6max tables over full ring. You get involved in more pots and players make more mistakes.

6-max at SNGs and full ring at MTTs. Well, the most I like the 3-handed action at the end of both kind of games I would say. :D

It depends on the modality:
If Hold'em, I prefer tables of 9.
If Omaha, I prefer tables of 6.
I currently play only these two modes.

I prefer 9 for MTTS, 9 & 6 for sit and goes, and 6 for cash tables, I feel like the difference from mtts being much more loose to 6 max cash they are still much tighter.

I play more often 9-handed, so much that I have some difficult to play 6-max. In theory, it would seem that it's easier, as you have less players against you, therefore there are less chance of being beaten. Maybe the dynamics with more players is also that one taught in more lessons on the internet, it's more known, we know position's names with 9 players, moves, etc.

I love to play 6 person sit and go and I love it when the game is hyper and not turbo. Prize-winning places fit faster.:)

6 max and 4 max because the game is more aggressive and fun because there is more action

I usually play 8 max at MTTs and prefer 6 max at cash tables, sit and goes and satellites.

I prefer table sizes of 8 or 9. I am not too sure why (LOL), it is just "a thing".

Most other variants (stud, 2-7, razz) have a standard table, so there's no choice anyway
