Am I Eligible as a Kentucky, USA player?

I was looking over the terms and agreements with my ACR account. Come to find out My state is in the list of Unavailable. Something must of changed. I have cashed out before at ACR but if I tryed now I don't think it would be possible. I have contacted them and waiting for a reply. If I am not eligible I will have to insist on any deposits i've made be returned. I know, "Good Luck with That". I slipped under the radar on this some how. I think when I registered all the years ago, after the USA Government shut down all the poker sites like poker stars etc. ACR was the first room I joined after that. I was eligible then. They have changed the rules on me without me noticing it.
This is a blow to my regular play outside of CC events ,Leagues, I can't join any of the CC sponsored Games outside of Replay Poker. Bummer!

U should put the name of your state in the title instead of USA, like this its difficult to find out more (and to you new) information.

Guess if they state that your state is not allwed then its not allwed but i wonder how u were able to deposit then?

Yes i wonder about the deposits also?? My state is Kentucky. Like I said, I was legal when I first started at ACR. Within the first 2 years I know I Cashed $400.00. But haven't cashed out since. I don't have a fortune tied up there but any amount is to much if you can't cash out. Know what I mean. Shot, even $10. ,$20, bucks would be worth retrieving. I don't think I will get a penny. Even though they took deposits. Its in legal language and it is up to the player to make sure that ACR is Available in your state.

I don't know why i didn't include the state to start with. I just overlooked it,sorry about that.

Write to their support and ask whats up and if u can cashout. What happens when you try to login into the software?

Be prepared to cashout in crypto if they allow u to.

I can still login and play. But knowing I live in a state that ACR is available I will not play anything. I have contacted support. It was late last night so i will probably hear back by tomorrow. They have always been prompt on Customer support. I'm not going to try and cashout until I hear back from them. If i go to cashout they will ask my address,I know they will. As soon as i give address, Boom, what happens? I hope i can arrange with support to cashout without any suprises. I'll update as i progress with this.

I think they probably already have your address if you cashed out before....,

Louisiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada or Washington State have always been listed as not available states,
when they opened back in 2001 they opened to 43 out of 50 states and it's still the same states listed today,
.....they put it in legalese because of those state gaming laws so it's up to the player,

there's a few other sites available in Kentucky👍

I definitely joined ACR when The US gov, Caused all the sites to leave US. Poker Stars etc. Has ACR changed ownership ,If I can Deposit , do you think I can still Cashout? Are the other sites available to Kentucky as good as ACR , Poker stars, or similar Poker Rooms. Can you point me to the sites that will accept me from KY?Its getting me down looking for US players accepted then falls flat. Either to casino based very limited in poker playing. About ready to give up on finding a place to play . I'm not going to stick with ACR if im just playing for fun, because if I can never cashout thats what I will be doing.

Well BetOnline and ignition are 2 older sites like pokerstars but not as big, CoinPoker is a newer site,

they all take Kentucky players, Clubwpt is a subscription poker site that takes Kentucky players,

... Acr still has the same owner, if your account is still verified and you have withdrawn before you

should be able to, not sure how long ago you withdrew but it is bitcoin now which is easier since it doesn't

go through a bank..., but you're right if you can't withdraw it's basically play money

@MK_ Thanks for the info. It's been at least 4 years since I cashed . They sent check by mail back then.
So it's been a while.

I will check out the places you mentioned. I am not a crypto person. I have no crypto accounts. So if ACR is paying out via bitcoin, another obstacle. 🤔.

I appreciate your input and help.

Very weird that you are able to login and play @Antonio777

On all other sites i played in my life i would get an error message right upon login when i was in a location where the platform was unavailable.

I couldn't even get registered at other sites, as soon as i put Ky in my registration form, It would shoot me down quickly. Certainly can't explain it unless they have over looked it or i'm grand fathered in. I don't see how they could do that but i have no other way of explaining it. It does seem very very odd. But I am telling you the Honest truth. I could get a screenshot probably showing the date etc...

Antonio, whenever a site is no longer available somewhere and you have funds in it, they normally allow you to withdraw everything you have. When you made a deposit, ACR was probably still available in your state, otherwise they wouldn't have let you.

Anyway, if you speak to their support, just explain that you want to cash out if you can't play anymore. I think they will let you.

As to the Bitcoin, you can easily create a Binance account to which you can transfer whatever amount you have in ACR, then to your bank from there, unless you want to exchange it for different crypto and start trading

Totally believe you and yes probably grandfathered in, i guess otherwise u wouid not be able to login and play.

I was 'grand fathered' in back when DoylesRoom became A.C.R. (joined in with ACR)

A long time ago, when Kentucky was added to the no-go list, they simply stopped accepting new accounts. Existing accounts were grandfathered in and could still play and cash out. I cannot guarantee this is still the case, but I believe it is. I haven't cashed out in quite some time, but I did cash out multiple times after KY was initially added to the no-go list. Good luck!

You are definitely Grandfathered in to ACR, America's cardroom does not GAF that the US made new laws that caused Black Friday, but they won't break them by accepting new players, and with crypto being the only way to deposit or withdraw, how can the US govt see any transactions. If you know and trust other players on ACR you can do P2P transfers and receive cash through paypal or other money transferring methods.

I'm in Australia and lost access to the major sites in 2017 but ACR DGAF so they grandfathered me in to both ACR and BCP, I don't do Crypto but I can with the help of a friend get money on and off of ACR and BCP.

This has drawn some attention to an issue that others must face also. Here's whats going on as of today Sunday Nov. 9, 2025. I wrote to support but did not receive a response as of today. After the responses here I can see that it would not be a good thing to do if they grandfathered me in. Low profile would be the ideal thing and I may have made a mistake by bringing it up.

I will try to arrange ,someway,to create an account to accept Bitcoin. That sounds like the best way to go. I will cashout and see what happens. I can't keep riding this out. I can login and Play if I want to. But still not playing, at least for now. I'm glad i mentioned the "Grandfather" possibility. Looks like thats what happened to me. It would explain everything i've mention in this thread.
