Eric Mangini won't be granted a third season as Cleveland's coach.

Given a second chance last year by Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren to improve, Mangini was fired Monday following a second straight 5-11 season and one day after a humiliating home loss to the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

Holmgren, who spent several days mulling Mangini's future after last season, wasted no time and dismissed him during a morning meeting.

and steelers will go down in flames when they meet the Patriots in AFC Championship

Re-FYP

But to the OP...isn't it funny how none of the ex-Patriot coaches can keep a job without Bill Belichick to guide them.

Mangini's firing was just another highlight of a "banner" year for Cleveland sports. :icon_puke

At least Cleveland State looks like it has a good team this year. Probably could beat the Cavs right now.
