Check this guy out. He plays in the NFL and bets against is own team in a parlay bet. But the incredible thing is that when he filled out the application at the casino, under employment he says he is a "professional football player"

I totally understand not being allowed to bet on your own games, but why not be allowed to bet others? I figure they think there could be collusion, and odds are that would probably be true. Every one knows you can't bet on your own games though... and this isn't a rookie either... and did it in person... geez... almost like he wanted to get in trouble.

Certainly NOT the sharpest crayon in the box to say the least. Guess he didn't have a financial adviser to tell him to at least have one of his buddies place the bet.

Guess when God was passing out brains he didn't hear him right and thought nah no need I was told I am getting a new train set this Christmas.

One cornerback on his own isn't that likely to be able to swing the outcome of a game or influence the team's performance against the spread that much...

He would know every play where he won't have safetys up top. Any cover 1 man he could "trip" or just get beat which would do 1 of 2 things. It would give his man a wide open td, or it would force the onend safety that's on cover 1 to have to come to his side, leaving the far side wr with 1 on 1. That's a huge thing in both cases.

He makes these bets because he knows the strength of his team. He puts the loss on his team against the favorite, or knows that the match will be negotiable. There can be no other options. He is an insider on his team.

Opinion

Not correct to bet if you are a pro sportman/woman. Someone wrote why can not bet to other teams but 1. they earn so much money we can not imagine, 2. then it is possible to speak and make bet together then it results pre-recorded results and thus we can never win bets. And something else if you bet against your team also not play very well to lose? Very very interesting.
