these spots are great for range building study---build the Villains range in Equilab--it is free then look at the equity AJoff has versus that range.

the learning part is refining the range---Do they shove AA ? AT- all suited Ax Kts what do they shove?
How does position effect their range? how does bounty effect it how does # of players left in MTT effect it
How does my perceived range effect it?
Do my reads effect their range?

If you dive deep into these questions, you will improve your outcomes.

as played we want to think about how the players are playing this FT-- if we fold will there be collisions from the other players that will put us HU quickly
If yes we can fold- If they are being extra tight and we can steal blinds that would be another reason to fold-
how important is 3rd place money to our bankroll?

If we think we have the right odds and we do not think folding is the better route to a top 2 finish then yes call

But call or not is not the study point here learning to gather the data to get to that point is

This hand is a great example of boski not factoring in all the data.
1 bounty MTT the V expects to get called so yes they are shoving AK
2 V is fine with boski over folding as they take less ICM risk when he folds
3 AK blocks AA KK so V is going to be 50-50 or better most often a very good spot to double to win the MTT with a monster stack when called
4 boski thinks 3 bet induce but why would the SB want to go post flop OOP vs a range of AK crackers that boski would flat- boski does not want to jam light there
5 If boski thinks Ak+ would induce why would boski ever call with his dominated hands like AJo therefore if the V knows the standard player will not give them credit for AK why not shove?

Boski should have a read on this player by now that they might make top of range shoving errors and have few 3-bet or all-in bluffs--which is what might have happened in this spot.
If we have this read, then it is an easy fold

tough spot huh??? tbh, I don't think its a call given the bounty doesn't count that much in chips terms, and the payjump is near the same as the bounty. In that specific spotI would fold and wait for the next one. GTO range though has a few Suited Ts shoves in that case.

I would fold here since I could play more poker for 20 BB or so. Nice to see this shoving thing exists all the way up to that buy-in level I guess.

It's correct for villain to shove more than 10% of their hands here, it's not some "low buy in error".
You can see it really puts hero's feet to the fire and hero should know there are plenty of baby pairs and worse Ax if villain is competent.

In a none ICM spot I think this is a clear call vs a good player, not sure with ICM in play, feels more like a fold, maybe the bounty pushes it back toward being a call - close for sure.
