Ha! We had those over here in the US too. And I remember the Commodore 64, and having to type in a mile of code just to play some stupid paint brush game where you made tracks on the screen and tried not to crash into them. Always took like an hour to load the stupid game, because on typo f'd your shit up. I'd always end up saying 'forget it' and go outside and play.Its not our fault. Growing up in the 80's would warp anyone.
There was a huge culture of fear due to the cold war.
The BBC would run short "infomercials" .... you dont see anything like this on the TV these days but there were literally hundreds of these explaining how virtually everything in your life was going to kill you.
This is just a random example.. aimed at kids.
