theres a big market somewhere but i forgot what its called.

also the beach is pretty nice
as well as just walking around in the old town

belgo you know that olympic football stadium on the huge hill ? i forgot what its called but the walk down/behind it is awesome. huge modern terrases/squares going down iirc theres even a moving staircase there out in the open.

when you reach the end you get this view

its pretty epic irl

also many people like visiting the fc barca stadium, theres a museum attached as well.

I've heard Barcelona is a beautiful city. I've thought about spending a year or two studying abroad, either in between this degree or after. I'd have to go to Spain and either Madrid or Barcelona are the obvious choices.

Did I mention ITT that I went bowling on Saturday and broke a pin? Woman who had worked there like 5+ years said she'd never seen it happen before haha. It broke the machine and a woman had to pick it up and was like wtf lols. They let me keep it as a souvenir, pretty awesome.

I have actually shot bowling pins (don't ask) in the past and that are very tough to split even with a bullet. Yours almost certainly had some inherent defect to break in normal conditions.

They're pretty hefty, kind of like a baseball bat but with a lacquer around it. it's not a straight snap along a fissure or anything but all jagged and sharp lols. It added to a great night anyways, even if you're probs right haha.

in other news, i'll be spending most of next week in barcelona judging a magic:the gathering tournament and hopefully getting a level up (darn exam to take, always tricky) so i can get to more such events in the future. promises to be fun! anyone have a must-see list for barcelona? i have like a day to sightsee...

You should enjoy it. Quick list:

*La Rambla - awesome street with a lot going on, restaurants, people, history, entertainment. This is were the mercat de la boqueria (sp?) is located - large outdoor market with all sorts of food.

*Antoni Gaudi - I really don't know much about architecture, but this guy had some very unique structures built throughout the city. I know La Segrada Familia was the one that was unbelievable when I saw it. They were still working on it when I visited a few years back.

*Montserrat - not actually in Barcelona, but worth the trip if you can find a way. Great views and history... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat_(mountain)

Wouldn't have a clue. I had this table pulled to the side of my stack as there was this guy with a huge stack and watched him play a couple hands. He would bet pot or bigger with crap and bet small with the goods. He also folded his monster bets whenever he got raised. Too bad he left straight after this hand...
